GreenGate again!

After some consideration, I believe the photo of the striped blanket from yesterday's post doesn't do it justice.  Here are a couple of alternate views:

Sledding, and...

...up a tree.

I'll also have to get a sledge for the winter, now that would be 'creative photography' wouldn't it?
All our little SIBOL Blankets piled up.

  4. I think it's a great idea for Sue to start taking arty photos up trees etc don't you?
We don't go in for catalogs etc down here in OZ and I'd never heard of Green Gate before another blog mentioned it earlier in the year - a Scottish one I think. We have lots of "junk mail" delivered to our houses each week and they are sort of advertising catalogs with the week's sale items displayed but you can't order the stuff, you have to go to the shop yourself.

  7. Linda,
Here in Australia we love our pumpkin. Many of us eat it nightly as a vegetable with our meat. It is especially lovely roasted with roast lamb as well as roasted potatoes, onions , parsnips. We also make delicious soup out of it but funnily enough we never make pumpkin pie for dessert like you Americans do. The English only feed pumpkin to their cattle though they don't have the varieties we do. They use Butternut Pumpkin ( they call it Butternut Squash)for soup though.
Pumpkin is my favourite vegetable. I wrote a post on it here http://helsieshappenings.blogspot.com/2010/06/favourite-aussie-food.html

Sorry to rave on a bit
    Cheers

  9. Love the granny stripe blanket. I am actually crocheting one right now and am so close to being finished. I can't decide what to do with the border. And I think we Indiana folks got your storm last night. We've had horrible lightening the last two nights. Keep on bloggin' away! Cindy
